What We Like

  • Free out-of-the-box on-device AI recognition for people, animals, and vehicles
  • Includes free 3-hour snapshot/event video history without paying a penny in subscriptions
  • Built-in local flash memory stores up to 1 hour of video during internet or Wi-Fi outages
  • Magnetic base mount makes positioning, angle adjustment, and battery recharging effortless

What We Don't

  • Nest app transitioned entirely into Google Home app, which can feel cluttered for multi-cam views
  • Continuous 24/7 video recording is only available when permanently connected to wired power
